*UPDATE* on The 30 Day Challenge: Day 9.

How’s it going?

 I’m learning that more and more of you are partaking in this Challenge, although 98% of you are doing it on the down low.  That’s ok.  It really is a learning opportunity just for you.  To see what wardrobe pieces you are drawn to, what is completely wasting prime real estate in your closet, and what you might be missing.

* DAY 9 *

Today’s photo is blurry.  Sorry said the Canadian.

Track pants (silk) and a sweatshirt with boots.  Super comfy and relaxed but don’t look like yoga wear.  Might feel the same, but not the same visual.

I know the suggestion for keeping worn and unworn clothes separate, was for you to turn your hangers backwards.  I then let you know that I was switching my plan to put all worn pieces at the end of each rack.  Well, I switched it up again.  For me, out of sight, out of mind is best and I am utilizing one of my styling racks.  I’ve set one up in a bedroom corner and when the clothes come off, they get racked right there.  Completely separate from my closet.  This works best for me.  Need one for yourself?  Get one here.

I’ve realized that I am drawn to my denim.  6 out of 9 days have been some sort of denim pant and I am glad I have a selection.  It has me thinking though, that I wish I had some winter skirts that I really wanted to wear.  Maybe if we weren’t in the Northwest, I would.  How many of you think you would completely change your look, if our climate was different?  I would hope the puffy jacket and Uggs thing would go away (obviously) but I mean truly change your style?

 Okay, this was clearly the NFC Championship Game.  My entire crew had Seahawks gear on but when the game wasn’t going so well, it dawned on me that my Seahawks tee had been worn twice when the Seahawks lost.  I immediately changed and the game turned around.  Coincidence?  I think not.  The shirt has been burned.  The yellow beanie stays (it’s had two winning days)!

 As we go into the second week of the challenge, you’ve probably worn all your super fav’s, now what?  Try some new layers.  You can’t duplicate an EXACT outfit but you can mix and match, find some great new combos.  Instead of the standby sweater and jeans, pull out one of your better blouses instead and add dressier footwear.  If you are cold, layer a cami underneath and a blazer over top.

And put those accessories to use.  Jewels don’t just have to be for a dressy, evening look.  Add some to your tee and blazer.
