Happy After Christmas! Hope everyone has had a chance to kick back and enjoy the Holiday, or perhaps you are doing that this week. I’ve had a sudden urge to purge and will be sorting my wardrobe and various other projects this week, in preparation for 2013. More on that later….
I love a good find and that includes my cardi worn above. I spied it across a crowded store during my Christmas shopping and knew it had to come home with me. Super inexpensive and I have had more compliments on it, “Where can I buy it” questions, and best of all, assumptions that it is designer. LOVE!

Happy Friday! Well, we made it. No astroids, no power outages, it is all good. And thank goodness, as I had some serious shopping to do today.
So, in needing to hit the mall, I wanted to layer up to be warm without a coat, wear something comfortable, and have some cheery color for being festive. Even if it was coral. Think Miami. Or the Islands.
Although this may be a hectic weekend for some, make it fun and have a good one!

Before I do my standard post, fashion does seem low on the totem pole after the week we have had. First Portland and now Connecticut. My kids got extra love this afternoon and love, light, and prayers are being sent to all of the families affected.
With a full day of appointments and a holiday luncheon, I chose to be a little dressier. Standard fare I suppose for this time of year. But I have to say, still totally comfortable. Some of the women I was with, were discussing outfits for Holiday parties this weekend, and pants vs. dresses came up. I will raise my hand 9 times out of 10 for the dress. Comfortable, no waist band and so easily dressed up.
I hope you have a fabulous weekend with those who are important to you. No time like the present to tell those people that you love them AND pull out that special something (dress, suit, jewel, dishes) that you have been saving and put them to use.
Happy Holidays, Happy Weekend!

Last minute invites are part of the Holiday Season. Don’t think you have anything to wear? No worries. You can pull from your everyday goods and make it work. Basic lbd and coat. Just add accessories to dress it up but nothing too bold to overwhelm the look. Never anything wrong with understated elegance.
The most important accessory? Your confident smile!
